This was a Great Session...We had so much fun, this was a beautiful prom dress that looked wonderful on Brittany, it was almost a shame to trash it. We took out the paints and had fun, even my kids enjoyed getting Brittany and Lonny full of paint. We also then got it full of mucky sand, but the end result was these fabulous photographs.
This was a fun session, I wanted different backgrounds, then what I know exists. So Lonny and I went driving around the country side and found a few different locations that really worked out, here is just a couple.
This is Krystal's Daughter McKenzie, she came with on Krystal's Senior Photo shoot, so I could not resist capturing some images of her. Her face reminds me of my daughters, the porcelain doll look.
This girl was so much fun doing pictures with, I can't wait until we do our second session!!! She is bringing her horses for the next session, and man do I have some great ideas!! I think we are actually going to do three sessions!
There is no greater love to catch behind your lens, then that of the bond between a mother and a child. Hillary and Kendra were natural and just seemed in their own element this day!
Krystal and I had fun this day, I think the toughest part of my job though it getting these kids to smile. We want natural smiles, and I think my biggest mistake maybe telling them to be themselves, because then the response I get is, I don't smile for pictures.
Holly and I didn't want to have just one session...so we planned another date to go and drive around the country side...I am glad we did, heck, I think we might plan one more, but do some indoor shots next time...
I had this opportunity to photograph a Family from Henderson, MN. There son was born with some heart issues and they are having a benefit for them. So I donated a family photography session to them, and I am also donating one to their Silent Auction.
Little Cameron, and their Girls were a delight to photograph:)
So I am not posting any pictures today, just a random thought, or dream. I am dreaming of the day that I can finally open my own Studio:) I can not wait for that day to come. Today though I opened my new lights and felt a bit overwhelmed...I have no clue how to use them...they look so foreign to me...Think I might need some guidance on them.
I like to capture the innocent moments in time, like cousins walking across the yard, a baby's feeding time, two friends enjoying a summer afternoon, these are the times that actually tell a story.
I am a devoted photographer, that likes to tell a story with her camera. I like to tell others stories, I don't like to pose. I lurk in the shadows and catch your story as it happens, just as life is.
